- The laws of physics will only permit given amount of space, and a rechargeable battery within is not practicle. Rechargeable batteries will eventually burn out, versus lithium rechargeables. An expert scuba diver, instructor, and underwater tour guide from Venezuela explains that ear buds, or any object in your ears are pulled into the ears due to pressure within your ear canals, and may be dangerous after 45 feet. Hearing is enhanced greatly underwater, but it may be limited by music which can also act as a distraction. To each their own, but for now I am happy to swim laps, and go underwater in a pool. Pro divers are able to hold their breath for up to three minutes. Snorkeling and other toys which allow a swimmer to swim without having to turn your head for air, but how fast do your really have to go? I prefer free laps with music and dives or underwater lengths in a pool, for the purpose of staying fit for lifeguard duty. Looks nice, but I do not anticipate scuba diving yet
