Definition: The person that you go diving with. Both members of a buddy team should be fully certified divers and in good diving condition. The purpose of buddy teams is to ensure safety by always having a fellow certified diver with you at all times. Buddy teams are advised to check each other's equipment before the dive, descend together, keep in close visual contact underwater, and ascend together.
