Dive sites around the world are under the threat of extinction! (Or at least under the threat of destruction). Most divers are aware that the activities and demands of the Earth’s rapidly growing population threaten the health of the oceans. However, did you know that even a reef-loving, pro-conservation diver may have a negative effect on marine ecosystems? Don't panic -- we are not suggesting that you stop diving! But, there are steps that scuba divers can take, both above and below the water, to help preserve the reefs and other marine ecosystems they love to dive.
