Featured Creature: Bottlenose Dolphin

Saturday June 21, 2008
Bottlenose Dolphin

If you ask most divers what creatures they'd most like to see underwater you're sure to have plenty tell you that they'd love to see a dolphin. While frequently encountered above the water, it's not too often that divers come across our mammalian friends under the water. To me dolphins represent everything I love about the ocean - they're at once friendly, playful, and beautiful but can also be strong and aggressive when necessary.

This week's featured creature is probably the most common dolphin of them all - the Bottlenose Dolphin. Check out our profile of the Bottlenose Dolphin and take this opportunity to tell us all about your encounters with Dolphins by stopping by the forum or posting a comment.

Brainy, athletic and sensuous, they make great lovers if you can hold your breath long enough. If you’re going to leave, let them down slow because they tend to take it hard.
