Open Water Skill: Controlled Seated Entry

Monday June 16, 2008

Controlled Seated Entry I recently wrote about the most commonly used entry method in boat diving - the Giant Stride Entry. This time we're looking at another entry you can use when it's not so easy to giant stride - maybe the boat is rocking too much or the water isn't deep enough for a giant stride - it's times like these that you can use a Controlled Seated Entry to safely enter the water.

Check out the step by step demonstration of this skill and as always, if you have any questions or comments about this skill drop by the forum

I was quite worried when I did my PADI about going in backwards sitting down, it was however the first entry technique we did and I love it! Lovely sensation falling back into warm carribean waters :)
