Explore the ‘Endless Ocean’
Sunday January 20, 2008
There’s now a way to go for a quick dive without even having to leave the house, and I’m not talking about the bathtub. Thanks to the folks at Nintendo you can now go scuba diving in the comfort of your own living room.
New Nintendo Wii game, Endless Ocean takes you into the sea in search of new fish species. More of a simulation experience than a game, Endless Ocean allows wannabe divers to explore the sea searching for fish and befriending dolphins along the way.
Despite nice graphics, the game has failed to impress many critics, with the most common criticism being that the game is a little boring and pointless. I’m an Xbox guy so I haven’t had a chance to try the game out, but I think I’d rather do my diving for real and continue using my Xbox to live out my professional hockey fantasies.
Of course, if you have a foot of snow outside your door and can’t quite bear the thought of climbing into your dry suit, Endless Ocean might be just the fix you need. You can check out a demo video here, a review here, and the official site here.
